This is honestly one of my FAVORITE book series that I have ever read. It makes you feel like you’re really in the mind of a dog, what they are thinking, feeling, seeing, why they are doing this that and the other thing. I love the connection that is shown between dogs and humans. That loving and unbreakable connection some humans have with their dogs and how it may never go away.

This book touched me in so many different ways. I’ve never highlighted so many quotes from a book before. The perspective of a dog, telling the story of his life with his human. The ups and downs that are shared, how much can change in the lifetime of a dog, and the neverending love that happens between dog and human!

Recently I forced Dan to watch the movie version with me. Through all the tears that came with the ups and downs of the story, the movie held true to the book! And Dan LOVED it!

It’s one of my favorite books! Something I don’t say lightly!

I truly loved the sentiment and love that came out of this book. It was one of the first auto-biographies I read about a human’s connection with their dog and it was amazing. I couldn’t put it down. The love that was share emanated throughout the entire book. It also opened my eyes to the seeing eye dog foundations and the good work that they do for those who need it!

As a Dean Koontz fan already, reading his story of his dog was special.

Dogs truly are one of the most special things to have ever been given to humans.

Ooogy was a special book to me. I love pitties-or even just dogs that people assume are pits. To me (in a VERY biased way), pits are the BEST! So reading a book about a dog who beat the odds of dying as a puppy that was used as bait in a dog fight and still being a cuddle bug, I couldn’t put the book down!

This book shows that you can’t just a book (or a dog) by it’s cover (or how it looks)! Every single dog is unique, has it own story and history, so to group a whole breed of dogs together doesn’t make much sense to me.

Don’t Bully My Breed!

I legitimately read this book in one night. I’m not joking, I couldn’t put it down. Brodie and I cuddled and I just read and read and read. One of my favorite authors have done it again. A compelling story about a pit, the amazing things the dog does for the family, and the lengths the dog goes through to reconnect with his humans.

I can’t wait to read the 2nd book in this series and all the rest by this author!

This is the follow up book to A Dog’s Way Home, which was one of my favorite reads. This is a continuation of Bella’s story and reads similarly to the first book. This book brings back some of your favorite characters and aspects in a new light! There’s adventure, drama, twists, and as always, dog love. All told from the pup’s perspective!

I would definitely recommend this book to any dog lover or fan of W. Bruce Cameron!
