We took our friends and all the pups to one of our favorite breweries!
Last weekend we spent time with some of our favorite people and Brodie’s favorite pups! We went to one of mine and Dan’s favorite breweries-Jersey Girl Brewing! They are a dog friendly brewery in Mount Olive, NJ. Jersey Girl was actually the first brewery Brodie ever visited when we adopted him! One of our favorite parts of Jersey Girl is their Beer Garden, especially during the spring, summer, and fall!

Since we had 3 dogs with us (Brodie, plus his best friends Diego and Rey!), we decided to start outside in the beer garden. It was COLD out, but with 3 energetic dogs, it was better to start out and then move inside after they’ve gotten their excitement out.

The dogs got to play, we got to enjoy our beer and it was a perfect start to a great afternoon! The beer garden has picnic tables for the humans and is all grass, which is comfortable for the pups!
During the warmer months, there are bands that play in the beer garden! (One of our favorite parts!)

I mean, look how happy these pups were! Can’t get better than that!
But it was COLD out, so eventually we made our way inside to the warmth! There were other dogs already inside, so into training mode we all went! And the pups did GREAT!
It took a little bit for the pups to settle, but after just a few minutes, Rey was playing with his ball, Brodie was chillin on the floor, and Diego was watching everything around him! Needless to say, we were PROUD dog parents!
Jersey Girl has such a great selection of beers that all of us were happy! We had a few rounds while the pups all chilled out! (Don’t worry, there was no drinking and driving!) My FAVORITE there would have to be the King Gambrinus or their flagship, Rake Breaker!
Brodie was especially cute because every time Dan went to the bar, Brodie went with him and looked like he was ordering a beer himself! (Which of course I missed the picture of…EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!)

Now with Brodie, we all know there are training ups and downs that we are actively working through (read our Let’s Go Train blogs to hear all about it!) and of course, we dealt with some of these issues at the brewery. Its so hard not to be embarrassed or feel a set back when he becomes reactive, BUT he had so many more wins that day, so we tried to only focus on those!
Overall, he did great! Let people pet and cuddle him, settled around ALL of the dogs there, met a (SUPER CUTE) maltase pup. He only had an outward reaction to ONE dog, which was more loud than anything else…but it all ended up totally fine in the end!
Shortly after that, we noticed that Brodie was having trouble settling down again, which usually meant that he was at his threshold for the day of stimulation. So we left our friends to enjoy the rest of their beers and headed home!

We always do what’s best for our pups, no matter how much fun we were having!
If you’re looking for a place with great beers, good vibes, and somewhere you can take the dog, Jersey Girl Brewing is definitely it!
Let us know if you have a brewery dog and their favorite brewery!
