Brodie got to spend Christmas Eve with some of his all time favorite humans!

Christmas Eve started off nice and relaxing! Brodie was sporting his absolute FAVORITE sweater-his Christmas sweater from Target! He’s legitimately so cute with it. At first he was NOT the biggest fan of clothes, but this all changed with his Christmas sweater. Suddenly he would get a wiggle butt-EVERY time it came out!
Which is really good, because our vet told us that he’s a cold pup and would probably benefit from wearing a sweater to keep the heat in, since he’s a thin coated pup. At night when we go to take it off (because he sleep under the covers in bed with us), he gets so sad and paws at it-as if to say, “yo, why did you take that off?!” It’s the first thing he looks for in the mornings!

Of course the frisbee came out to play! We were burning energy before Grandma (Dan’s mom) came over for a Christmas Eve Lunch! He was definitely showing off his catch skills in the front yard!

Brodie was INSANELY well behaved the entire day! Which of course made me happy! You wouldn’t believe it by this picture though. He was NOT about cooperating for family pictures. I mean his butt is cute, but not exactly what we would have liked for a family picture of Dan and his mom.
But that’s what comes from photographing dogs. When they are done, they’re done and you just have to work with it. Photos aren’t something to stress over-or worse, stress the dog out over!
But after pictures came the best part! Presents! His new tug monkey toy was a BIG hit-even if it doesn’t really have a face anymore.

No joke-this was one of the better of our family photos. Hilariously cute, but not exactly what we were going for…
After some of the chaos, some play time, and (a lot of) treats, we tried out one of Brodie’s other sweaters, which is a tad bit too bit on him, but he didn’t seem to care!
He was content to chill by the fire while I took some (super adorable) pictures of him! He was modeling and posing at this point which was way too adorable for me.
What he didn’t know is that we were surprising him with a visit from one of his ALL TIME FAVORITE humans-my dad (who he know by name as “Grumpa”!)
Sadly we didn’t really get any pictures with him, but that was because we had SO much fun playing tug, and wrestling, and cuddling, and non-stop happiness with all the family time!

Overall, we had a pretty great Christmas Eve that led to a great Christmas in general!
We hope everyone had just as good of a Christmas as we did! Let us know how you celebrated with your pup in the comments!
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate and we hope you all have a happy happy New Year!
