This past weekend, we reunited with out best friends for the first playdate of the cold weather! And it seemed to have only bothered the humans…but at least the pups had the TIME of their lives!

We ventured out to Jefferson Field Dog Park, a new to us dog park, but super close to our best friends Pam and Tony, and Brodie’s best friends (Pam and Tony’s Pups), Diego & Rey! Some of you may remember them from past posts! We love to adventure with them!
Jefferson Field Dog Park is located in Hopatcong, NJ and in our opinion should really be called Hopatcong Dog Park. When we planned to meet up with our friends, we never thought there would be confusion, but we ended up at 2 DIFFERENT dog parks… There’s Jefferson Dog Park (read about it in our previous post!) and Jefferson Field Dog Park…not confusing AT ALL.

It was ALL happiness once we figured which one to be at! (It really should be called Hopatcong Dog Park…but whatever.) The boys were SO excited to see each other! The whole dog park was COVERED in snow, which they didn’t seem to mind at all, and us humans were happy we dressed for it! The pups just got to run around, happy as can be!
There was a ton of chase and tag all around the park! They get along so well that it was all smiles around the park! They shared their toys, traded on and off, and peed on EVERYTHING that the others peed on. It was so good to see them back together! Over the warmer months, it was easier for them to get together, but since the cold, it’s been a little bit more difficult.

I mean, look at these happy pups playing together!

Plus we got some SUPER adorable portraits of them in the snow!

And soon, it was time to leave…well other dogs were getting there and they were on the smaller side, so rather than deal with any potential not so great behavior, we decided to head back to our house and see how the boys did inside-test out indoor play dates for the rest of the winter, cold weather, season!

And the boys did SO great inside!! We were super proud of them for how wonderful they were! Brodie shared his toys (well most of them), and at once point, all of them laid down and chilled at the SAME TIME! We had a few iffy moments, with some over excited play, to standing up for themselves, but with us humans paying close attention, we were able to separate and give breaks when needed! Mine and Dan’s favorite part was using Brodie’s love of the Guinea Pigs to help give him his breaks and he would calm down INSTANTLY!

Nothing is better than the seeing big smiles on these faces! We can’t wait for our next play date! Especially now that we have figured out play dates for all weather!!

It doesn’t get better than this!
