We had our first real snow of the season today! And no one was happier than Brodie! From catching snowballs, to missing snowballs, to zoomies in the yard, he was one happy pup!

Waking up to snow is always exciting (especially when you don’t have to go anywhere!) I was working virtually today, so Brodie and I got to enjoy a fun morning together before school started! During our morning potty break, Brodie discovered that it had snowed-giving him some fun, early morning zoomies!
After the early morning snow fun, Brodie had to wait for my lunch period to have more snow fun! And snow fun he had! Dan was able to come out with us for his lunch break too and we got to enjoy some family time in the snow! Well Dan was clearing the cars and driveway at first, but still all outside together! Brodie was busy with the zoomies and watching the neighbors run around.

Once Dan was done with the cars and driveways-it was PLAYTIME! Brodie was SO excited and had so much fun! There was some chase, wrestling, and Dan’s signature-the snowball! (For those of you that don’t know, Dan and I met when he through a snowball in my face and tackled me to the ground. So snowballs are special to our family!) There were SO MANY SNOWBALLS! Brodie caught some, missed a ton, and got pelted with a few…but he was right there, waiting for the next one! Brodie was definitely having a blast with the snow!
I mean-look at that snowball action!

And then it was back to the zoomies! All over the yard, as far as his lead would let him! He may have enjoyed himself a little too much!

And then it was just a little bit more play with Dan before Brodie was telling us he was tired and ready to go back inside to warm up. AKA he stopped all play and just starred up at us until we got the point.
Looking back, there has been such a huge change in Brodie since his first few snows last year. A year ago, he did NOT know how to contain his zoomies or excitement or know what to do when he got too excited. He often would revert to using his mouth…my winter coat is proof of that. (It has giant rips in it from when he bit it last year…) We’re glad he’s learned NOT to do that anymore!

Brodie’s come a long way from last year, and we can’t wait to see how awesome he is the first time it snows next year!!

Brodie clearly LOVED the first snow of the year! How about your pup?
